Deliver campaign assets by version

Plan versions, lifetimes and access for image, video and script assets separately from personalized requests.

Overview

Campaign assets vary by market and release. Delivery should preserve the intended version without caching personalized responses incorrectly.

This is an architectural planning example, not a customer case study, a delivered project or a promise of performance gains.

01

Identify each asset variant

Organize files by campaign, language, dimensions and format with identifiable versions. Use version updates or planned invalidation for urgent replacement instead of only overwriting a filename.

02

Separate delivery from decisions

Assess caching for media assets while leaving selection, reporting and campaign logic to the application. Define personal-data handling according to the actual implementation.

03

Coordinate withdrawal and caching

Campaign expiry, origin deletion and cache expiry are separate events. Define the order of link revocation, replacement and invalidation, and check assets still referenced by older pages.

04

Test the actual embedding environment

Check dimensions, cross-origin configuration, encoding and fallback content. Test the target devices, regions and page context rather than only opening a raw asset URL.
